It's NOT always sunny in Philadelphia!

Where to begin! We had an awesome trip!! Here's the story

WEDNESDAY:
Our Flight was scheduled to leave at 7:15 Vegas time. We had our alarms set for 3:30 so that we made it there 2 hours before with plenty of time to check in...I woke up at 6:00 Utah time...I frantically woke Mike up, told him it was 6 and that we HAD to go. He was freaking out as well as we threw the last few things we need to pack in our bag and ran out the door... We left at 6:10...We made it inside the airport and inline at 7:20. We obviously missed our flight. LUCKILY the lady was nice enough to roll us over to the next flight (on standby) and if there were any seats left we could get on. LUCKILY there were seats left. We made it to Dallas which was our layover stop and waited and hour...then another hour....then another half hour. Delayed flights are SO annoying! But we ended up making it to Philly around 9. We weren't exactly possitive where the school was so we hopped on the train. We didn't make it far because the last train left at 11 so we played it safe and went back to our hotel.
THURSDAY:

We woke up on time! Thank goodness! We walked to the train stop in the rain without our umbrellas in 43 degree weather. Smart. The interview went great and I was able to go on the tour of the school and sit in on the presentation. We got done around 1 and headed back to the hotel. Poor Mike was drenched and he was only wearing his suit..no warm clothes! We changed and headed back into town. We walked down Market street which had some neat little shops and walked down to Penn's Landing. We walked by Independence Hall and into a tourist shopping mall. We then HUNTED down Bucca Di Beppo. And it was amazing as always!! Because everything was closed we decided to head back to our hotel. We ended up going to bed at 9 haha we were so exhausted.
Beautiful red leaves
Waiting at the train stop...
FRIDAY:
The Liberty Bell

Eastern State Penetentiary: The first penetentiary in the U.S.!
This place was so awesome. It looked like a castle and was ginormous! This time of year they put on a haunted house inside and supposidly it's the #1 haunted house in the U.S. We decided to just take a tour, I think I would have been WAY too freaked out if it was all decked out.

Regular jail cell

Al Capone's jail cell...

Prison walls, love the vines

Death Row

Old baseball diamond

This was on our walk/ ride to the Mutter Museum. It was so awesome...They have a bunch of Medical abnormalities so they had real conjoined twins and all sorts of messed up skeletons. I'm sure it's not something everyone would want to see but us weird medically obsessed Goold's LOVED it haha.
I was LOVING all the green!!

Absolutely LOVED the houses.

City Hall

Downtown Philly

Go Phillies. There were SO many people decked out in their Phillies gear!
They are obsessed witht them! This was my favorite building in the whole city, not the "P" building the other one!

Inside, the picture is really blurry, sorry.
SATURDAY:
Our plane left at 6:00. It was a LONG day of traveling, but I was SOOOO excited to get home and see my puppy!!
Even though it poured on us the whole time, we had a blast!! We went all over the city and loved it! We were told that the people there were rude and pushy, but they were SO nice. We could see ourselves living there, that is if we didn't get into the U!!
A few firsts for Becca
-rode the subway for the first time
-rode a train for the first time (other than the Heber Creeper :)
-First time in the Eastern States
-First and hopefully last time missing a flight ( and MIKE)
