Mike's oldest brother Jon is the star of a movie documentary about his search for gold in Alaska. It first premiered at the Newport Beach film festival and was picked up by the GenArt film festival in New York. We were SO excited that he decided to fly out here and attend it so we could go too! Jon flew in early on Friday and we spent the day shopping! Who would have thought! He brought about 20 copper red salmons straight from Alaska so we enjoyed that for dinner. Saturday we headed to New York around two with me at the wheel. Talk about scary, busy, crazy traffic! We made it just in time for Jon's budding fans to meet with him before the show began. It was fun to meet all the guys who were part of the movie and see people excited to meet Jon. The movie was AWESOME and we thoroughly enjoyed it! They had a Q&A session afterwards and then we headed to the night club. Everyone who attended the premeire recieved free admission to the night club. This was definitly a new experience for me! Mike and I ate rock candy and people watched while everyone else did their club thing. Luckily, Jon was ready to slipt while the night was still young, so we made it home around 3am. Jon flew out on Sunday afternoon and was excited to leave the hustle and bustle and get back to little ol' Alaska! We will definitly be going back to NYC to see all the touristy sites, soon!
